| Not that the stockies are killing itself and running through it's tread... Just that I wanna go something wider with the OEM wheels.
Thinking of either going 245/45/17 or 255/45/17 all around.
But not sure which tires I should get? I got a set of winters, Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60 235/45/17... So I don't really need to worry about running the same tires in the winter. I could get All Seasons but since I got winter tires I don't feel the need to get All Seasons...
Anyone got any suggestions for some Perfomance Summer road tires?
Or should I just run the stock Potenza's until I get new wheels?
What I have in mind are Pirelli PZeros, Bridgestone RE760, ... Dunno what are your opinions on those?

| Blizzak WS-60's are awesome tires for snow, they just plow up westwood plateau!
I would recommend something high performance, but not ULTRA high performance as you won't be taking your car to go autox or track everyday. Plus wear is going to be better.
If you just like wide, and decent performance, you might even look at the Kumho MX line. Cheap for what you get out of it.

| RE001s are best value for money. I used RE050As and I loved them fave tires ever are Falken 452's. DZ101's are tyres people either love or hate. I'm giving them a go in the next week. | |

| RE001's? I've never looked into that. Maybe I should go look at some reviews.
But I've seen some very nice feedback from RE760's on Acurazine.com. I've seen some good feedback on Falken 452's also.
I'm going wide, not necessarily only for looks. But for performance only. I want more rubber hitting the ground. Currently I'm running on the stock sizes Potenza 235/45/17.

| dial in more neg and put on more tire =p I prefer the RE050 or 070's over the 001s but for the price they are good value. I was also contemplating the Yokohama S drives. The 452s are amazing. But a little pricey here in Aus. Not too sure about their price in Canada. If only they came in my size T.T.. | |

I'm gonna look for some feedback on Acurazine and see if they fit what I like. I will listen to Mr. VRT for now.

| Actually, it's the safety. All-seasons, with the exception of higher performance once are NOT enough for this weather. Be cocky all you want, but safety 1st. | |

exactly, all seasons are shit tires. they aren't good in the dry, they aren't good in the wet, they blow ass in the snow.. they are just there to be cheap... they are a compromise tire... summer tire = good dry, shit wet, don't even try snow... winter = good snow/standing water, ok wet, not so great dry all season = mediocre dry, mediocre wet, mediocre at best snow

| lol.. i don't see the huge deal with buying snow tires. i've been driving the last 3 years on worn out all-seasons with zero crashes. as long as you slow down and pay attention to your car's reactions, you'll be fine. people only buy snow tires for the false sense of security they provide.
FYI my latest two cars:
1998 civic ek9, no p/s, 5spd, all season falken ziex 195/50/15 ran with about 40% tread last winter
1987 mazda 323, 5spd, USED all seasons with probably 50% tread, dunlop 185/50/14.
FF all-seasons driving in the snow ftw.

FF all-seasons driving in the snow ftw. It's about being able to slow-down or stop. which most people will just hammer on. Even with the invention of ABS... alot of retards are out there.... slamming into poles... You have a light car, and can probably turn out of most of that... where as the heavier cars... i dunno... just keep goin?

| its more about CHANGING THE WAY YOU DRIVE, which most people are unwilling to do. they instead slap on winter tires and drive like its summer again. fyi, snow tires are only effective when its 4C or colder. when its dry and warmer, they perform worse than all-seasons. and yes, we do get those occasional dry/warm spots during our winter months (nov - mar). i just finished installing new falken ziex 205-50-15 and i will be using them during winter.
also, neither of my cars have/had abs. weight transfer is key in driving in slippery conditions. this is true for light and heavy vehicles.
