I'm salary, and what's annoying is that I do make more than most ppl my age, and I can barely still afford to live decently.

Raising wages is a good idea in theory, but there's going to be setbacks to that as well. With todays higher gas prices its just one more item that'll cut into companies profits. When that happens, businesses will cut back on shifts, cut back on benifits, may be more inclined to lay off employees, raise prices of goods and services to make up the loss in profits.

The thing is, it's a rolling economy. The prices of everything went up except for wages/salary. So this is just compensation to be honest. I mean shit, I spend like $30+ in a day just on food, and I make quite a bit for my age. I'm still complaining.

Oh well, we'll see how things work out, Vancouver especially has some funny economic rule breaking factors.
