09 Honda Civic Facelift

Just in Cali? Cause I know I saw one in Seattle with Seattle plates, and I doubt it was imported

So anyway, yes, that was a Civic Sedan Si before he got through with it. Amazing what some people can do.
There's a lot of things that don't match up with the JDM Civic typeR, if you wanna be picky (some, i've already mentioned). Those problems wouldn't be an issue with the stock CSX, since it already has many of the parts.

One way or another though, time and effort gave a really nice result

CSX was only for the Canadian market IIRC, so the one with Seattle plates.. *shrugs*

no, the skirts don't need extending (varies largely on the brand of the skirt)

i've seen a full type R FD2 conversion done to a honda CIVIC Si sedan






not bad at all, ALMOST a full conversion. he's just missing a red emblem in the back, a civic and type R emblem, jdm mirrors and a jdm trunk (without the keyhole)

the skirts will need extending for the Si, but not for the csx. they're almost exactly the same doorspan length

also, hard to believe that that ^ was an Si oh so long ago. What I don't get is, why not just take a csx and mod it like that instead of taking an Si? A lot of the things on the CSX can be left stock and they'll look exactly like it's JDM counterpart. waste of $

i saw that on 8th civic lol burning77 showed me, the owner said he's gonna get some spacers for the rims and the emblems soon, but yeah csx is made in canada in alliston ontario i think, the csx was originally designed in canada and the japanese adopted the design and put it as jdm civic and the FA1(usdm style civic) followed along as well as the FD2. the csx is an extended version of the usdm civic, no idea about jdm civic. thanks wikipedia! LOL

yeah as elkayem said. csx bumper, civic body...doesn't make much of an improvement...

They actually have CSX in the States. Just not a CSX Type-S.

When I posted a picture from a photoshoot I did with a CSX-S. They were all like "is that a Civic Type-R?!" or "WTF is a CSX Type-S?"

yup, states don't have the csx. only the civic, i remember reading some american magazine when the csx came out, and it said something about "We(americans) can only watch in jealousy as the canadians get the jdm styled headlights and taillights on the csx"

Just to clarify, do you mean a Civic Type R with a mugen kit?
Or a Civic Mugen RR?
Cause an RR would be REALLY impressive
CSX -> Type R conversions are starting to pop up more and more now
kind of a shame..but also tons of eye candy. so can't complain
