what is a forum

im just moving the conversation here from the ings+1 fit
i didn't want to go as far as FC suggested by kspec since i didn't feel the need to

so my question is "what is a forum?"

everyone please feel free to say your point of view, im young, i want to learn=)

somewhere people can talk about whatever they want...somewhere people can share views, opinions, ideas, funny shit on the internet..

someplace to go when theres nothing else to do
somewhere to talk to random people online when theres nothing else to do

bottom line - nothing else to do.

it's chat. it's something that goes by, with or wthout you. Forums are a place you can come back and just pickup where you left off.

i stopped using IRC once the q3a following finally died.

i think forums are a place to discuss things publicly with the hope that it won't be ruined by retarded comments and stereotypes. however, this is a free world and things will be said. THAT being said, banishment is always an option as well! so no worries kiddies, things will work out one way or another.
