| As title states, I am planning on replacing my Tein SS since they're almost out of life.
was thinking of just getting new Tein SS and be done with it, wanted to get some of your opinions. from the quote i got, the Tein SS will cost approx $1400 taxes in. Tein flex would be another $300 or so on top of that.
I'm not looking for something super stiff, which is why I think the Tein SS is a good balance between everyday driving and performance. Not interested in getting no name or crappy branded products, price range in the $1200-$1500 range.
Also, should I keep my springs? or replace all at the same time?
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

| pretty sure you can send your current SS's back to tein and have them rebuilt. | |

Ever tried Spoon coils? I had those on my Integra and they were great. Better than always sticking with the same ones, try new things in life!

| haha yeah i guess i could try something new. i'm pretty sure its out of my budget to buy spoon coils.
oh and true to tein quality, my adjustable rings have all calcified over. would probably snap if i tried to lower any more haha.. i'd also need to have the key, which of course didn't come with the car.
any more suggestions? | |

| Just a note that flex has more or less been discontinued and replaced with monoflex which is even stiffer so probably not a good idea for an everyday street car. Stick with the SS IMO. and EDFCs = win. | |

| I heard teins were over-rated...... There was a really good brand that I remember readin an article about...... Its manual n not controlled by an electronic adjustment like the EDFC but its pure performance.......
Otherwise if its a Honda? spoon FTW hahahahaha

Otherwise if its a Honda? spoon FTW hahahahaha You are aware that most teins are also manual and EDFC is only optional on specific vehicles. Unless you can name this "really good brand" and have any other facts to back up that it is superior to tein please stop talking like you know what you are on about.

| ^hahah carmen lays down the law.
its not most, its ALL tein are manual. EDFC is an accessory. it's not built into the units. and is almost a complete waste of money =p

| ^The EDFC is good for setting your damper settings when you daily drive the car. Soft settings for getting over speed humps FTW =p | |

| take it like a man =p
you don't soften up the suspension, you crabwalk the bump and you go slow...
if the EDFC could give me height control too, THEN i might think its worth 300+

| I have TeinSS with EDFC controller....got it for $600! What a bargain! Brand new TeinSS for me cost like $2k+ without EDFC But you can't find my EDFC control cuz I hid it some where. LOL I didn't want to build it into the storage area cuz it takes up my space. | |

sorry, i forgot to mention. it would be listed as the EJ6 96-00. since technically, the EK9 badge was only used on JDM models. It's there though, I've checked the website out myself.

| Morgan fails at google search =P CLICKYou can get basically a couple of them. But not all is compatible with the EDFC. I'd say stick with the SS's for street use. The flex are good but will drive you insane for daily use. Unless you are tracking the car there isn't much need for the flex. | |
