Honestly, cf is not flimsy. yes that's the whole point on having hood dampers well, Carbon Fiber is a Cloth.. so it's flimsy. the process of making cfrp is quite hard to explain. but as you can see, my hood is painted. I had to get the clear coat and most of the epoxy off the hood. this way i can achieve more weight reduction off the hood. and since the hood is dry carbon It's very strong as is. so then the other painting process kicks in. but yeah that's a reason why my hood is so flimsy. most CFRP now are made with FRP with a single layer of wet carbon. but still they're pretty stiff

| haha i was looking thru the mazdaspeed website, and i can get carbon fibre fenders..... but they're like 5-600 ahahaha....each.....
but ya, suspension for a honda.... coming from a mazda guy, i would suggest JIC or go with a shop that tunes honda. like T1R or Spoon. but if you don't do any tracking, not even autocross, then the spoon would more than likely be overkill...
you could make your own if you wanted. good set of shocks and a set of coilover sleeves. all teh major coil companies make sleeve kits i am pretty sure.
you could go with illumina's, they are 5way adjustable dampening, and fairly cheap, and then get a sleeve kit from Tein or something...
let me double check some of the comanies, see who makes sleeve kits. i know megan does...

| i'm not experienced enough to be doing all of these things myself haha. and if i were to pay someone to do it, the labour would probably even out the cost to something thats already a finished product. but thanks for the suggestions, i've seen tokico's on another EK, she seems to like them. | |

| it should only take the person maybe 30 mins to set up the sleeves. they just drop on over top of the shock like a normal spring.
so lets say 400 for a set of illuminas, ~160 for sleeves with linear springs, laybe 100-150 for camber plates?
400 160 150 710
that leaves enough space for 3+ hours of shop time before you reach the same price as coils (depending on the price of the coils you're looking at).
definately might be an option you want to look at.
and if you decide later on you want a bit more competitive suspension, you just switch the illuminas for Koni yellows and a better set of linear springs, and send them all into koni for custom valving. and you dont need to drop another 1500 on coils to get the more "track spec" sets
